A quarter of Cuba's 11 million people live in and around Havana, which lays claim to being the most beautiful town in the Caribbean. Old Havana, with its square mile of colonial palaces, handsome plazas and charming cobbled alleys was once one of the three richest Spanish cities outside Spain. UNESCO designated it as a city of world heritage. Noticeable from the moment you arrive is the lack of advertising hoardings & neon lights and the abundance of stunning crumbling buildings. The intangible, intoxicating charm of this lovely old town never fails to impress.
Varadero is another popular town boasting an impressive 20 kilometres of golden beaches. Approximately 3 hours from Havana by coach, it is every beach lovers nirvana, with every conceivable watersport available. The area offers lots of things to do, from swimming with the dolphins to exploring the history of the region or just relaxing by the pool with a pina colada.
